Gower Players are a society of amateur thespians who put on productions usually in the Reynoldston Village Hall. Reynoldston is a small village in the middle of the Gower Peninsular just outside Swansea in South Wales, UK.
This website is intended for locals to find out what we and others on Gower are doing but also for friends who have moved elsewhere to keep in touch. If you have items for inclusion please e-mail.
We are a small society of about 50 members and we aim to put on 3 productions a year. The society is organised by a small committee and benefit from the support of a group of local patrons. If you want more information or wish to join us please contact us through the links on this site.
It is a couple of
years now, following the renovation of our Village Hall, that a few of us
re-started Gower Players. We wanted to bring live entertainment back to Reynoldston.
We are succeeding. But some of the motives were selfish we actually enjoy
putting on productions. It is one of those challenges that when you have
finished is very rewarding. We are always looking for new people to help either
on-stage or backstage constructing sets, finding props or sorting out the
costumes.
